1. Find the original video on the company’s own account

   The video was posted on 4 November 2026 on the Instagram account @gangsofstartup (display name “The Viral Startup Office”), whose bio names the startup as Influish. Reposts and screenshots on other accounts are not the same thing — go to the source. Confirmed

2. Comment “Hi” on the video

   Eight reports say commenting “Hi” is the first step. Asianet Newsable uses both “Hi” and “Hello” in the same article; every other outlet says “Hi”. (India Today) Confirmed

3. Udaipur-based candidates receive the link by DM

   Reports agree that candidates based in Udaipur would be sent the application link by Instagram direct message. Whether people outside Udaipur can apply is unclear — see below. (Asianet Newsable) Confirmed

4. Or use the hiring form linked in the account bio

   Six reports say a Google form is linked in the @gangsofstartup bio. When we looked on 6 November 2026, the bio did contain a link labelled “Hiring Form”, though it does not say the form is specifically for the doomscroller role. (NKTV) Confirmed

5. Fill in the form, including a resume

   The form reportedly asks for contact details, a full-time or internship preference, current and expected salary, and a resume upload. The full list is in the next section. Reported

6. Wait to hear back if shortlisted

   Five reports say the company will contact shortlisted candidates. No timeline for that has been published. (Asianet News Hindi) Reported

What is @gangsofstartup, and is it Influish’s official account?

@gangsofstartup is the Instagram account that posted the doomscroller video on 4 November 2026. When we checked it on 6 November 2026, its display name was “The Viral Startup Office” and its bio read “Startup name - INFLUISH”, with a link labelled “Hiring Form”. Dainik Bhaskar’s English site, on 5 November 2026, also described the account as Influish’s. (Dainik Bhaskar Digital (English)) Influish’s own website, influish.com, links to a different Instagram account (@dm_influish) and did not mention @gangsofstartup or the doomscroller job when we checked, so the @gangsofstartup bio is the main public link between that account and the company. What does the hiring form reportedly ask for?

We have not filled in the form, and we do not reproduce it. Six outlets describe its fields, and they largely agree. Knowing what to expect helps you prepare — and helps you notice if a form you have been sent asks for something very different.

What the form is not reported to ask for: any payment, bank account details, Aadhaar or PAN numbers, OTPs or passwords. If a form or message claiming to be this application asks for any of those, stop.

The “expected salary” field is worth a moment’s thought, since Influish has not said what the role pays. The eligibility page has a short note on answering it when no range is published.

Should you wait for the DM link or use the bio form?

This is the least clear part of the reported process. Asianet Newsable presents the DM link as something only Udaipur applicants receive. NKTV says that others can use the form in the bio. The other outlets describe both routes without saying who is eligible for which. (Asianet Newsable) (NKTV)

In practice, the bio form is the route reports describe as available to anyone viewing the profile. Whether a candidate from outside Udaipur would actually be considered has not been stated — our eligibility page covers the location question in detail. Reports differ

Is there a deadline to apply?

No deadline has been published. The Printlines’ Hindi headline promises to explain “when and where” to apply, but the article itself gives no closing date. What happens after you apply?

Reports say shortlisted candidates will be contacted; Salam Hindustan puts it as the company replying if it likes the CV. (Salam Hindustan) Beyond that, nothing has been described: no interview format, no trial task, no start date and no indication of how many people will be selected. Given that the company reportedly received more than 11,000 form requests, it is reasonable to expect that most people will not hear back — and silence should not be read as a reason to respond to unsolicited messages from other accounts.

How do you stay safe while applying?

A viral job post with a comment-to-DM mechanic attracts imitators. Lookalike accounts can reply to commenters, and fake forms can collect personal data. Before you submit anything, run through this list:

• Open links only from the bio of the original @gangsofstartup account, or from a DM sent by that exact account.
• Check the handle letter by letter. Extra underscores, dots or numbers usually mean an imitation.
• Never pay a registration, training, interview or “security deposit” fee. No report mentions any fee.
• Never share an OTP, UPI PIN, bank password or card details. A job application never needs them.
• Do not upload Aadhaar, PAN or other identity documents at the application stage unless the employer’s own channel clearly asks.
• Be wary of anyone who contacts you on WhatsApp or Telegram claiming to be from the company and offering paid “tasks”.
• Remember that doomscroller.influish.com did not resolve on 6 November 2026. A site claiming to be it is not genuine.

Why doesn’t this guide link to the form?

Three reasons. First, the form’s link is a generic Google Forms address; reproducing it on other sites makes it easier for copies and fakes to circulate. Second, the form may close or change, and a stale link sends people to the wrong place. Third, the account bio is the one location the company itself controls, so it is the right place to check. When Influish publishes an official page for this role, a clearly labelled link will appear here.
