About the Doomscroller Job Guide

By Influish Editorial Team · Published · Last updated

Short answer

Doomscroller Job Guide is a plain-language explainer of the Influish doomscroller job, published by Influish — the company in the story. It summarises independent news reports in our own words, links to every source, and labels any detail that is reported by only some outlets or not disclosed at all. It is not a news outlet.

Why does this guide exist?

When a job post goes viral, the same questions come up thousands of times: is it real, how do I apply, what does it pay, can I apply from another city? News reports answer some of these and not others, and they do not always agree. Search results also mix this story up with an unrelated 2025 posting. This guide gathers what is actually known in one place, separates it clearly from what is not, and keeps one date — the last time we checked — at the top of every page.

Who publishes this guide?

Doomscroller Job Guide is published by Influish, and written by the Influish Editorial Team. Influish is the company that announced the doomscroller role, so we have a direct interest in the story. We think readers should know that up front, which is why it is stated in the footer of every page.

Being the company in the story shapes how we write, in three specific ways:

  • We do not use inside knowledge. Details Influish has not publicly announced — pay, deadline, number of openings — are listed as not disclosed, exactly as they would be on an independent site.
  • Claims are attributed to outside sources. Facts about the story come from news reports we have read, or from public pages we checked directly, and are linked.
  • No promotional language. We avoid phrases like “dream job”, and we do not encourage anyone to apply.

This guide is one of a small group of topic sites Influish publishes, each covering a different question. Where another site in the group answers your next question better, we link to it and label the link as a sister guide.

How do we check the facts?

  1. We load and read each news article ourselves. For each, we record the publisher, headline, author, publication time, language and canonical address from the page itself.
  2. Non-English articles (Hindi, Marathi, Malayalam) are translated and summarised; we do not reproduce article text.
  3. A detail is stated as fact only when at least two independent reports agree. Single-source and conflicting claims are labelled and attributed.
  4. Official channels are checked directly: influish.com, the @gangsofstartup Instagram profile and the doomscroller.influish.com address.
  5. A page that will not load is marked unverified and nothing is taken from it. As of 6 November 2026, we have read 9 reports in full; 1 indexed report (Moneycontrol’s) could not be loaded and is not used.
  6. The reports currently used are: Asianet News Marathi, Asianet Newsable, Dainik Bhaskar Digital (English), Salam Hindustan, India Today, NKTV, Times Kerala, Asianet News Hindi, The Printlines (Bharat Express News Network). Each is listed with its date at the foot of the pages that cite it.
  7. Figures that change quickly, such as view counts, are always given with the date they were reported.

What do the verification labels mean?

Labels used across this guide
LabelMeaning
ConfirmedStated by two or more independent reports we read, or seen by us directly on a public page.
ReportedReported by the media but resting on a company statement, or found in only some reports.
Reports differOutlets give different versions; we describe each and do not pick one.
Not disclosedNo report we verified states it, and no official channel has published it.

What does this guide not do?

  • It does not process applications, and does not link to the hiring form directly.
  • It does not publish salary figures, deadlines or eligibility rules that have not been announced.
  • It does not claim to be affiliated with, or endorsed by, any publisher it cites. Publishers’ names appear only to credit their reporting.
  • It does not reproduce article text, photos or logos.
  • It does not track you. No cookies are set, and no analytics run unless a privacy-preserving outbound-click counter is explicitly configured.

How do we handle corrections?

If a fact here is wrong or out of date, we fix it, change the “Updated” date on the page, and — where the error changed the meaning of a statement — add a short note saying what was corrected. We do not silently rewrite facts. New developments (for example, Influish publishing pay or a deadline) are added only once they can be verified from a public source, and the “Last checked” date is updated at the same time.

To report an error, contact Influish through the details listed on influish.com, and include the page address and the source that shows the correct information.
